Since 1 January 2011, sick employees in the canton of Ticino have been entitled to family benefits for up to 12 months. These benefits are paid exclusively by the cantonal Family Allowances Office (FAK/CCAF).
Applications for the benefits must therefore be addressed to the cantonal Family Allowances Office (FAK), even if the employee is registered with a different FAK. The relevant forms can be downloaded at www.iasticino.ch.
